Antique granite that was found buried on-site was repurposed to build bench style seating at the edge of the brick patio.
Surrounded by busy commuter traffic and rental properties in downtown Concord, NH this small back yard was transformed into a destination spot for the owners. A newly designed fence and lush plantings serve to reduce ambient noise while also screening views to undesirable places.

Reclaimed antique granite was used to create a raised bed which provides seating opportinities and strnegthens the sense of enclosure for the space.
The new fence was painted an earth tone that allows the landscape material and plant choices to become the focus.
The exsiting bulkhead is now screened and out of view. A mid-sized flowering tree provides a secondary celing for this back yard space.
A simple, clean pallet of foundation plantings soften the walls of the brick home and highlight its architecture.
